Wynton Marsalis - The Essential (2007)

Wynton Learson Marsalis amerikai trombitás, zeneszerző 1961. október 18-án született New Orleans-ben, szülei hat fiúgyermeke közül másodikként. Édesapja, Ellis zongorista és zenetanár, öt testvére közül három szintén elismert muzsikus: Branford szaxofonos, Delfeayo trombonos, Jason pedig dobos. Ő (vagy a papa) a trombitát választotta.
Hogy ezen a hangszeren mi mindent tud fújni, arról szól ez a lemez.
